The Fire/Rescue Division is responsible for fire protection and extinguishment in our response zone as well as technical rescue situations such as vehicle extrication, high angle rope rescue, confined space, and trench rescue.  The members of the Fire Rescue Division train to provided enhanced services to the public and surrounding Departments on a regular basis.   Recently the Department has been training in providing Rapid Intervention Team coverage for surrounding departments to rescue firefighters who may become trapped in a structure.  EVFD currently operates two engine companies, a truck company and a rural water tanker.   A majority of these members are cross trained to provide service in the EMS and SCUBA Divisions.
